POLLOCK PINES, Calif. – Lorraine Elizabeth Veves was born July 16, 1923, in Ellsworth, and passed away May 14, 2009, in Fallon, Nev. Lorraine “Rainey” was loved by many people. She loved everyone and had a special fondness for babies. She was known for her generosity towards those in need. Lorraine will be dearly missed by family and friends. There is peace in knowing she will be reunited with her beloved husband, Peter. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Peter; parents, George W. and Ruth Grace Landry; and brother, Howard Landry. Surviving her are brothers, Robert, George, Floyd and Paul Landry; and sisters, Patricia Connolly and Ruth Spellman. Services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, Placerville, Calif.
