ABERDEEN, Wash. – Walter Elmore Davis, 83, a longtime Jonesport resident, most recently of Aberdeen, Wash., died July 9, 2009, in Abedeen, Wash. Mr. Davis was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Jonesport, to Alvah Edward and Charlotte (Groves) Davis. He was raised in Maine, where he lived most of his life. Relatives include two daughters, Gail Barrios of Aberdeen, Wash., and Dawn Chandler of Jonesport; a son, Scott Davis of Avon, N.C.; one brother, Al Davis of Saco; one sister, Betty Juskiewicz of Yarmouth, Mass.; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. An urn committal is being planned in Jonesport and will be announced at a later date.
