PEMBROKE – Jon Ebbeson, 56, went home to be with his Heavenly Father July 27, 2009. He was born Sept. 19, 1952, in Lowell, Mass. He graduated from Pembroke High School and attended one year of boat school. He cut wood, dug clams, drove a truck for Herbie Clark, worked for Goding Concrete, Guilford Industries and the Maine Department of Transportation; he was a jack-of-all-trades. He also worked for McLellan’s Dairy Farm as a farm hand. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and going to church. He loved the Lord and his church family. He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara R. Venning Ebbeson; his father, Richard A. Ebbeson; and one sister, Johanna Ebbeson. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia (Collins) Ebbeson; two daughters, Tammy Ebbeson and Barbara Davis and her husband, Shawn; a very special son-in-law, Danny Davis and his companion, Tracy; six grandchildren, Jake Ebbeson, Jocelyn Davis, Timothy Davis, Emily Davis, Laura Davis and Danny Davis Jr.; sisters, Stephanie Pressey and husband, David, of Bangor, Tina Witkowski and husband, Chet, of New York, Connie Look and husband, Richard, and Gretel Varney and husband, Norman, of Portland; one brother, Rick Ebbeson of Pembroke; several nieces and nephews; his special friend, Pastor Gary Kinney and his wife; a special church family, Dwight and Valery Lingley, Bob Dorr, Blaine and Kathy Porter, Don Brown, Bob and Marilyn Fenderson; a special woman he thought of as a grandmother, Lettie Smith; and a special brother and sister-in-law, Carol and Tony Cook. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at First Baptist Church of Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Pembroke.
