EXETER – Llewellyn Curtis Jr., 67, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Aug. 15, 2009, at a Brewer nursing home after a short illness. He was born Aug. 19, 1941, in Exeter, the son of Llewellyn and Grace (Townsend) Curtis Sr. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, and loved to support missions and missionaries all his life. He worked on the home farm in Exeter and also as a hand sewer in Newport and Dexter Shoe Shops for many years. He loved to hunt and always enjoyed the great outdoors. He is survived by a sister, Diane Libby and her husband, John, of Milo; a foster brother, Robert Dowling and his wife, Paula, of Hermon; and three aunts, Olivia Curtis of Exeter, Edith Bowen of Hartland and Lois Reed of Carmel. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating.
