EDMUNDS – Patrick D. Day, 67, passed away Sept. 13, 2009, at his home. He was born March 27, 1942, in Sanford, the son of Charles D. and Lillian C. (Parker) Day, and stepson of Peter Poole. Patrick was a hardworking, kind and loving man. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for many years in Sanford for Genest Concrete. He moved to Dennysville in 1987 and worked at various mills until he began driving for W.H.C.A. For the past two years he had been a driver for West’s Transportation. He is survived by his six children, Melissa Prevatt, Steve Cabana, Becky Day, Shelley Seavey, John Day and Dawn Day; eight grandchildren; his mother, Lillian Poole; brothers, Mike, George, Pete, and Rodney; sisters, Loraine, Charlotte, Kathy, Caroline and Betty; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Patricia Jean Day; his first wife, Helen J. Day; his father, Charles Day; stepfather, Peter Poole; and two brothers, Donald Poole and Skip Poole. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Dennysville Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.
