HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Ruth Elizabeth “Billie” Dunn, 85, pas-sed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at her home. Born Sept. 1, 1924, in Bangor, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. Lovejoy II and Ruth E. Lovejoy Weir; and stepdaughter of the late Brig. Gen. Benjamin G. Weir. She was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Smithsburg, Md. She served on the Altar Guild, Ladies Guild and advisory board of St. Anne’s. She was also a member of Jefferson Heights Bowling League and had volunteered with Washington County Hospital Auxiliary. She fulfilled her dream of being a fulltime mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed being around all her family. She also enjoyed traveling, playing cards and shopping. Her husband, Wilmer E. “Willie” Dunn predeceased her in 1986; along with a niece, Sally Lovejoy of Maine. Survivors include her daughters, Dee Harne and husband, Howard, of Smithsburg, Md., Judy Barnes and husband, Mike, of Hagerstown, Md., and Sue Suder and husband, Rick, of Smithsburg, Md.; her son, Ted Dunn and wife, Becky, of Arnold, Md.; an older brother, Edward E. Lovejoy III of Bangor; her grandchildren, Danielle Jones of Chester, Va., Dwayne Harne and wife, Lisa, of Hancock, Chris Barnes of Waynesboro, Pa., Robin Graber and husband, Dan, of Smithsburg, Md., Brian Updegraff and wife, Sandy, of Laurel, Md., and Ben Dunn of Arnold, Md; her great-grandchildren are Austin, Samuel and Palmer Jones, Hannah, Abigail and Luke Barnes, and Ella Updegraff; a nephew, Ted Lovejoy of Belfast; and a brother-in-law, Gaither Dunn of Smithsburg, Md. There will be a visitation with the family 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, with a memorial service afterward with the Rev. Peter Fulghm officiating at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Md. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, P.O.
