BUCKSPORT – Pearl M. Bennett, 84, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Orland, the daughter of Roscoe and Martha (Bridges) Carpenter. Pearl graduated from Bucksport High School. She worked for 36 years in the Bucksport school system and for many years at Dena’s Market. She is survived by her husband, Victor G. Bennett; one daughter, Beverly; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Pearl was predeceased by her first husband, Russell Gross; one son, David; a sister, Lillian; and a brother, Roscoe. Family and friends will gather for visitation 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, with Pastor Rose Krienke officiating.
