TRENTON – George H. Hamor Jr., 92, died Oct. 20, 2009, at Birch Bay Village, Bar Harbor. He was born Dec. 19, 1916, in San German, Puerto Rico, the son of George H. Sr. and Helen E. (Parker) Hamor. He served in the U.S. Air Force in New Guinea and was discharged in 1945. He worked at General Electric for 27 years, retiring in 1978. George loved gardening, woodworking and fishing. He especially enjoyed walking in Acadia National Park with his special canine friends, Brinny and Spike. He had dream trips going to his boyhood home, Puerto Rico and going to Alaska. George is survived by sons, George H. Hamor III of Oklahoma City, Gary D. Hamor and wife, Ellen, of Mead, Colo., Alan R.A. Hamor and wife, Debbie, of Parker, Colo., and Gregg E. Hamor of Trenton; grandchildren, David, Ashley, Sharon, Katie and Ben; one great-grandchild, Lucien; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice; and daughter, Alison J.T. Hamor. Services will be held at a later date.
