SANDWICH, Mass. – Julie M. (Varney) Budzik passed away unexpectedly Oct. 22, 2009, at her home in East Sandwich, Mass. Mrs. Budzik was born March 8, 1942, in Eastport. Julie married into the U.S. Air Force. She lived in many states and overseas with her husband and children. In later years she spent most of her time living in California and Florida, but loved summers at camp on Boyden Lake, Perry, most of all. Julie enjoyed flowers and gardening, and visiting with family and friends, but was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three children and eight grandchildren, Timothy and Kimberlie Budzik and their children, Kassandra, Shobai and Chayton, of Friendswood, Texas; Tamara Mitchell and her children, Alex, Adrienne and Isaac, of Fort Kent; and Todd and Sherilynn Budzik and their children, Nicholas and Mary Makinsie, of Phoenix. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Michael and Patricia Varney, whom she lived with in Massachusetts; her longtime friend, Mr. Henry Farrington; and many special friends. A private family service was held Oct. 26 in Sandwich, Mass. A burial service and celebration of her life will be held for family and friends next summer in Eastport.
