ORRINGTON – Wayne E. Killam, 55, died Nov. 13, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 14, 1954, in Beverly, Mass., son of Dwight E. and Nanette A. (Soucey) Killam. Wayne graduated from Manchester Junior-High School, Class of 1972. He had been the caretaker for Curran Homestead Living History Museum, as well as a freelance photographer. During the winter he worked at Shipyard Brewhaus at Sugarloaf. Wayne was an avid skier, a Life Scout with Boy Scouts of America and a member of Friends of Maine Hockey. He was predeceased by his parents. Surviving are his special friend, Brenda Grover of Bangor; brother, Keith B. Killam of Randolph, Mass.; sister, Nanette Gay Ramsey of Manchester, Mass.; sister, Elaine P. Chouinard of Danville, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and friends around the world. A service in celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Curran Homestead, 372 Fields Pond Road, Orrington, with Heather Ramsey Mabrouk officiating. A reception will be held at the homestead after the service. The family suggests memorials to Wayne Killam Fund, care of Curran Homestead, P.O. Box 107, Orrington, ME 04474.
