FORT KENT – Jacqueline M. Anderson, 73, died peacefully Nov. 15, 2009, at her son’s home in Frenchville. She was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Oscar and Amanda (Caron) Pelletier. Jacqueline “Jackie” worked for Aroostook County Action Program, ACAP, for more than 39 years, providing support and services for families in need throughout Northern Aroostook County. When not at work, Jackie loved spending time with her family and her many grandchildren. She also found time to take in foster children, providing them with a family environment second to none. She loved to be outside as much as possible, spending time in her garden at Michigan Settlement or picking strawberries for hours at a time. Jackie will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Jackie is survived by her four sons, Wayne and his wife, Karen, of Fort Kent, Jeff and his wife, Tonia, of Madawaska, Dana and his wife, Anna, of Frenchville and Kevin and his wife, Janice, of Fort Kent; and her grandchildren, Sarah, Cody, Matthew, Joseph, Christopher, Jonathan, Joshua, Jacob, Heather, Chelsie, Tracey, Daniel, Caleb and Haley. Jackie also left her extended family and foster children, Chuck, Melissa, Autumn, Elizabeth and Cynthia. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Pelletier of New Mills, New Brunswick; her brother, Milton Pelletier of Fort Kent; and her sister, Jeanette Voisine of Fort Kent. In addition to both parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; and her sister, Laurette. At her request, Jackie asked that there be no wake/viewing; however, there will be a Mass of Christian burial celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal service will be afterward at the parish cemetery.
