BUCKSPORT – Marguerite L. Tracy, 89, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, with her loving family by her side. She was born Oct. 25, 1920, in East Millinocket, the second of four children to Harry S. and Alfreda (Miles) Lydick. Marguerite graduated from Bucksport High School and was employed by and retired from Champion Paper Co., Bucksport. She was a member of Elm Street Congregational Church and Riverside Chapter No. 123 Order of the Eastern Star, Orland. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John G. Tracy, in 1994; and her three brothers, Stephen G. Lydick, Harry L. Lydick and Norman M. Lydick. Marguerite is survived by one son, David B. Tracy and his wife, Gwen, of Bucksport; stepgrandson, Christopher Mann and his wife, Mary Ann; great-stepgrandsons, Samuel, Nicholas and Lucas; one sister-in-law, Norma Lydick; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family gives thanks to Marguerite’s caregiver, Nancy Keene for her kind and compassionate care. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Simpson Cemetery, Route One, Sullivan, with the Rev. Linda A. Smith officiating. Memorial contributions in Marguerite’s memory may be made to Elm Street Congregational Church, P.O. Box 878, Bucksport, ME 04416. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
