CARY PLANTATION – Carlene A. McQuarrie, 42, died Dec. 3, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 18, 1966, in Houlton, daughter of Ed and the late Shirley (Winslow) McQuarrie. Carlene worked for Community Living Association for 23 years. She was past master of Amity Cary Grange and a member of Pomona Grange and State Grange. Carlene is survived by her father; her brother, Ed McQuarrie Jr. of Cary; four sisters, Sherry Hall and her husband, Gordon, of Old Orchard, Darlene Johnson of Oconomowoc, Wis., Tammy Gray and her husband, Spencer, of Sedgwick and Heidi Bennett of Arizona; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew, Cody. She is also survived by a special friend, Dawn Fitzpatrick; and many good friends. She was predeceased by her mother. The family expresses a special thank you to the staff at Houlton Regional Hospital and Visiting Nurses for the kindness and care given to Carlene during her stay. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will be after at Hodgdon Cemetery.
