BREWER and GAINESVILLE, Fla. – William L. Haslam died Dec. 3, 2009, in Gainesville, Fla., after a brief illness. He was a loving husband to Laura M. Haslam for many years, until her passing in 1989. William was known for his kind and forgiving manner and his enormous sense of humor. He served his country as a U.S. Army soldier in World War II. William was a hard worker and sometimes worked three jobs to support his family. Surviving are a son, Paul D. Haslam and his wife, Lisa, of Brewer; a daughter, Diane J. Clark of Bangor; and two brothers, Robert Haslam of Cherryfield and Howard Haslam of Lamoine. He is also survived by three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren in the greater Bangor area.
