BUCKSPORT and VAN BUREN – Mary Madeline (Dodge) Webster, 95, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at Borderview Nursing Home, Van Buren. She was born April 22, 1914, in Van Buren, the daughter of Perley L. and Marie (Sirois) Dodge. She was married to the late Owen C. Webster, who died May 18, 1965. She graduated from Easton High School, Castine Normal School and the University of Maine, Orono, and worked as a teacher in Penobscot, Orland and Bucksport, retiring in 1974. Mary was a member of the Retired Maine Teachers Association, Castine Grange No. 250 and Penobscot Chapter No. 107 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a cousin, Yvonne and Vernon Anderson of Presque Isle; and four other cousins of Grand Falls, New Brunswick. At Mary’s request, services will be private. Interment will be at Castine Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
