ISLAND FALLS – Jarrica Rose Emery, 17, passed away Dec. 15, 2009, in Dyer Brook. She was born March 11, 1992, in Houlton, the daughter of Robert and Cindy (Dunphy) Emery. She was involved in drama, soccer and basketball; was head of Environthon, involved in Dollar For Scholars, was on the yearbook committee, was a class officer and was taking a college course while still at Southern Aroostook Community High School. She was on the National Honor Society. She was Little Miss and Miss Island Falls Summerfest and had been accepted to Pittsburgh Art Institute. Her dog, Lexi Lynn, was her companion in life. In addition to her parents of Island Falls, she is survived by one brother, Scott of Island Falls; fianc?, Chad White; his sisters, Tiffany and Nicole and their parents, Anthony and Diane White, all of Oakfield; maternal grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Dunphy; paternal grandparents, David and Sheila Emery, all of Island Falls; several aunts and uncles, Kim and Mark Decker of Dover N.H., Dawn and Scotty Ryan of Skaneateles, N.Y., Laurie and Paul Breton, Butch and Bessie Emery, Heidi and Craig Bishop, all of Island Falls, Michael and Sherri Emery of Baileyville; close cousins, P.J. and Lindsy Breton of Island Falls; several other cousins; and her best friends, Melanie Greaves, Nicole Rondeau and Mataya Ryan. She was predeceased by one special cousin, Connie Bishop. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Southern Aroostook Community High School, Dyer Brook, with Father David Raymond and Pastor Ben Green officiating.
