DEER ISLE – David M. Grindle, 56, died peacefully Dec. 20, 2009, in his sleep at his mother’s home. He was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Castine, to Milton and Kathryn Grindle. David enjoyed gardening, carpentry and playing music with his friends. He had a kind, giving heart and we were blessed to have him with us as our son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. David is survived by his mother, Kathryn; his brothers, Richard Grindle and wife, Sherri, of Orrington and Jerry Donovan and wife, Nola, of Deer Isle; his sisters, Linda Stevens and husband, Peter, of Beddington and Gayle Brown of Topsham; many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his father in November 2007 A celebration of David’s life will be announced in the spring.
