MASCOTTE, Fla. – Robert Eugene Murphy, 53, passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009. Robert was born Feb. 6, 1956, in Bangor, the son of Clayton “Jim” Eugene and Jeanne (Philbrook) Murphy. He worked as an automotive technician and also later in landscaping. Robert was a member of Hope International Church, Groveland, Fla., and was very involved in church activities. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Merlita (Hoyt); daughter, Erika Kish of Groveland, Fla.; mother, Jeanne Murphy of Bangor; sisters, Donna Bean of Bangor, and Susan Caruso of Holden; grandchildren, Matthew and Chelsey Kish, both of Groveland, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; and was papa to Tehya Nagel, Annabelle Roy, Jaden and Jamar Crockwell. He was also blessed to have the Paradis family: David, Gale, Kari-Anne and Jacob, as part of his life. Special family members were Howard and Ardith McGraw and family. A celebration of Robert’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Hope International Church, with Pastor Tony McCoy officiating. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials made to the church building fund.
