BELFAST – Dorothy M. Clark passed away Jan. 27, 2010. She was born Oct. 31, 1910, in Frankfort, daughter of Hollis M. and Clara (Colley) Black. Dot was a member of Stockton Springs Community Church, the former Bayview Rebekah Lodge of Stockton Springs, the former Utopian Club of Stockton Springs and was a longtime member of Waldo County Women’s Extension. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing for her family and the community. She enjoyed cooking and was always ready to help on benefit suppers and food sales. She loved her flower gardens and working with people in the community. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing cards and life in general. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Bernard E. Clark in 1967. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Basil Clark, Ph.D., and Margaret Ann of Midland, Mich., Dana Clark and Rachel of Brewer, Patricia Winsor and Tom of Norway, Maine, and Arthur Clark and Paula of Sherman, Texas; her grandchildren, Dawn Cormier of Norway, Maine, Dorothy Mackendrick and her husband, John “Max,” of Pacific Palisades, Calif., Sarah Jane Clark and her husband, Randy Wanat, of Lowell, Mass., and Tim Clark and his wife, Ann, of Midland, Mich.; and great-granddaughter, Emily Patrice Cormier of Norway, Maine. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
