CHERRYFIELD – Christine Mae Faas, 87, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010. She was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Cutler, to Roy and Attie (Huntley) Davis. She retired from the civil service after serving 35 years as a personnel secretary. Thirty of those years she spent working at Cutler Naval Station. Christine was a very devoted mother to her three children and she enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by two sons, Randolph Faas and companion, Pam, and Richard Faas III, all of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her daughter, Kathy Willey and her husband, Malcolm Sr., of Deblois; two brothers, Robert Davis and his wife, Norma, and Vance Davis and his wife, Arlene, all of Cutler; a sister, Virginia Maker and her husband, Caleb, of Machiasport; four grandchildren, Christina Willey and her companion, Chad Fenton, Malcolm Willey Jr. and his wife, Lindsey, Joshua Willey and his companion, Della Newenham, and Richard Faas IV and his companion, Brenda; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Faas Jr.; two brothers, Roger and Charles Davis; and sister, Frances Flood. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at New Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, with Pastor Bill Holmes officiating.
