PRESQUE ISLE – James A. Boyles, 62, died March 2, 2010. He was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Presque Isle, the son of Arthur and Lulu (Curtis) Boyles. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jim was a longtime, active member of Castle Hill Advent Christian Church, where he served as worship leader for many years. In addition to his father of Westfield, he is survived by his wife, Irene (Soucier) Boyles of Presque Isle; four brothers, Wallace, Larry and Robert Boyles, all of Presque Isle, and Bruce Boyles of Castle Hill; a sister, Sandra Haynes of New Dunntown; stepchildren, Carol Cuff, Lisa Kincade, Paula Turrubiates and Peter West; several nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, at Castle Hill Advent Christian Church with Pastor Lucy Lovely officiating. A spring interment with military honors will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
