BANGOR – Suzanne Claudia Ames, 66, died Feb. 26, 2010, after battling diabetes and end stage renal failure. She was born Oct. 26, 1943, in Unity, daughter of Clayton and Shirley Ames. She was a loving and kind person, with a desire to help others. She loved foods of all types and needlepoint. Suzanne taught American sign language and worked as an interpreter. She was also a dedicated Jehovah’s witness. She is survived by two half brothers, Clayton Ames Jr. and wife, Linda, of Dixmont, and Bacil Ames and wife, Linda, of South China; stepson, Billy Marden of Bangor; along with nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2029 Broadway, Bangor.
