PRESQUE ISLE – Dawn Lemos-Hite, 48, a loveable woman who touched whomever she met with her kindness, warmth and humor, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010. She was born the daughter of Donald and Carol (Rienken) Lemos in California, where her father was stationed as a Marine. Dawn graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Kansas, and had multiple degrees from different institutions. Dawn lived life with a carefree attitude, which gave her a certain level of freedom that attracted anyone that knew her. She was an exciting and ambitious person, who never let anything stand in her way, even when she got sick. Her spirits remained high always. She is survived by a son, Adam David Austin of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, Kenneth and Jason Lemos; a sister, Robin Dye; and many friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Austin, in 2007.
