BANGOR and WAXHAW, N.C. – Patricia M. “Patty” (Nelligan) Landry, 54, wife of Lawrence F. Landry, passed away unexpectedly April 8, 2010, at her home in North Carolina. She was born in 1955, in Bangor, the daughter of Robert and Rita (Johndro) Nelligan. Patty was a 1973 graduate of Bangor High School and attended Casco Bay Business College. Patty was a co-owner and managed, with her husband, Larry, Rental Solutions, Bangor. Moving to Yarmouth in 1993 with her family, Patty was a customer services representative for Liberty Mutual Insurance. The family moved to Charlotte, N.C., in 1997, where they now reside and where Patty held various positions, including an elementary reading tutor and insurance underwriter administrative support. Patty was known for her strong love of family and keeping close ties with her friends that she had since high school and before. Her friends all said that it was Patty that kept everyone talking and keeping in touch throughout the years. No one knows her love and sincerity better than her husband and her son. She watched virtually every game her son, Chris played from T-ball through college baseball, where she witnessed four home runs within two double header games. No one was more proud of her son who is now completing his first year in law school. Surviving in addition to her husband of North Carolina, are her son, Christopher “Chris” Landry, also of North Carolina; her mother, Rita (Johndro) Williams and her husband, Gary, of Bangor; one brother, Mike Nelligan of Lewiston; and one niece, Kim Nelligan and her daughter. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Nelligan. Family and friends may visit 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, until departure for St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Private burial at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor, will be at a later date.
