HOULTON – Floyd Herman Brewer, 77, died May 13, 2010, at a local hospital. He was born April 4, 1933, in Houlton, the son of Walter and Isabell (Campbell) Brewer. Floyd served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 47. He worked for the town of Houlton for 30-plus years. He liked to go for rides in the afternoon, always a joking around, happy go lucky person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Floyd enjoyed family get-togethers. He was a great father and grandfather who will be missed dearly. We love you, Dad. Floyd is survived by four children, Linda Brewer, Michael Brewer and his wife, Pam, all of Houlton, Cindy Unerfusser and her husband, Tom, of Texas and Mark Brewer and his wife, Natasha, of Presque Isle; stepson, Steve McQueen and his wife, Gail Lee, of Hodgdon; grandchildren, Scott Brewer and his girlfriend, Kimberly Drake, Ryan Brewer, AM1, of Massawa, Japan, Alex and Alisa Brewer of Presque Isle, James and Dawn Unerfusser of Texas, Jason, Johnathan and Jeremy McQueen, Jerry and Beverly Schools, all of Houlton; one brother, Maurice Brewer of Hammond; one sister, Mae Passardi of Vermont; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his lifelong partner, Marie McQueen; two brothers, Ronald and Walter Jr.; and two sisters, Ruth Caruso and Lois Henderson. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
