GREENVILLE – Velda Lazore Turner, 82, went home to Jesus May 27, 2010, after surviving multiple myeloma for two years. She was born Aug. 7, 1927, in St. Francis. She is survived by her husband, Dale O. Turner; a daughter, Beverly and her husband, Philip Walker; a son, Kirby and his wife, Judy Turner, all of Greenville; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles R. Lazore of Greenville; a sister, Vera Madore of Caribou; many loving nieces, nephews and friends; and personal chefs, Danny and Gloria Goulet. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Rosie Lazore; five brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Greenville Cemetery.
