LEVANT – Mary-Ann Carey, 68, loving wife of Harry E. Carey, was taken into God’s loving care to be with her son, Jeff; her parents; and her grandson, Jeff, June 15, 2010, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 29, 1942, in Portland, the daughter of Hartley and Anna (Gerrish) MacLeod. She moved to Levant in 1967. Mary-Ann was a hard worker and enjoyed many years tending the gardens at Carey Farms, Levant. She especially enjoyed going to Brewer Farmers Market. She will be missed by all who knew her. Mary-Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry of Levant; her son, Jim and his wife, Stephenie; her daughter, Jean Jenkins and her husband, Adam; her grandchildren, Justin and Anna Kristina Carey, Chelsea, Caitlin and Sophie Jenkins; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Pastor Phil McGlaughlin officiating.
