BANGOR and DOVER-FOXCROFT – Norma M. Darr, 87, died Sept. 12, 2010, at a Bangor nursing home. She was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Earl and Marie (Goepfert) Peterson. Norma enjoyed traveling and meeting new friends in Japan and Alaska before moving to Maine in 1970 with her husband, Charles. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles; three sisters, Betty Knapp, Joanne Barlow, both of Pennsylvania and Phyllis Brubach of Indiana; seven nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Rural Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements by Greenlawn Funeral Directors, Bangor.
