WASHBURN – Gary W. Skidgel, 58, died Oct. 1, 2010, in Presque Isle. He was born Nov. 7, 1951, in Woodland, son of the late Ransford and Myrtle Skidgel Sr. Mr. Skidgel was employed by several area potato growers throughout the years. He married Delores Bouchard, May 29, 1986. Surviving in addition to his wife, Delores of Washburn, are his three children, Dell Brissette, Joe Brissette and April Brissette, all of Washburn; two brothers, Ransford Skidgel Jr. and Dwayne Skidgel, both of Connecticut; three sisters, Mary Skidgel of Connecticut, Flora Ireland of Easton and Linda Holstein of West Virginia; eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Skidgel was predeceased by two sisters, Eldora St. Pierre and Avis Long. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where funeral services will be held 8 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Phelps officiating.
