LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Tonya Greene King Burns, 61, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, in Sweetwater, Tenn., from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Tonya was predeceased by her father, Frank P. Greene. She is survived by her husband, Al Burns of Lawrenceville, Ga.; son, Brian King of East Holden; daughters, Michele Wilson of Hoschton, Ga., and Danielle King of Monroe, Ga.; mother, Edna Greene; brother, Donald Greene, both of Tonopah, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Stephanie Sterry of Oriville, Calif., and Lisa Tomblisin of Fort Campbell, Ky.; stepsons, Jake Burns of Charleston, W.Va., Eric Burns and Mike Burns, both of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren. Formerly of Bangor, Tonya lived in the metro Atlanta area for the past 27 years. She was employed with Jackson EMC. Tonya loved helping animals and she served with several national organizations for animal protection. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, Ga., with Pastor Chris Huff officiating.
