CARMEL – Judith Bennett Lavway, 66, died Oct. 20, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1944, in Boothbay Harbor, daughter of William and Francis (Reed) Bennett. She attended Wiscasset High School and Edgecomb Congregational Church. Judy worked for more than 17 years at Interface Fabrics, Newport. She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Lavway of Carmel; a sister, Patricia Longley and her husband, Eric, of Brunswick; many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Rodney Cost of Edgecomb. She was predeceased by five brothers, William, Teddy, Floyd, Ralph and Monty; and a sister, Dottie. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, with Pastor Al Worden officiating.
