KINGMAN TOWNSHIP – Thomas “Tom” Nelson Sibley, 89, passed away Oct. 26, 2010, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1921, the son of Mabel Helena (Butler) Sibley and Thomas Nelson Sibley. Tom served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, and was a World War II veteran. He retired from Forster Mfg. Co., Inc., and was a loyal member of St. James Catholic Church, Kingman. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to watch the sports station. Tom’s last few months of life were spent at Care Ridge Estates, Lee. Tom is survived by a brother, Harold F. Sibley of Prentiss; two nephews, Harold F. Sibley Jr. and wife, Mabel, of Interlachen, Fla., and Gary N. Sibley and wife, Lillian, of West Enfield; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Tom was predeceased by a sister, Norma Welch and husband, Vinal; and a niece, Cathy D. (Sibley) Jones. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Monday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church, Kingman, with the Rev. Roger Cyr, presiding. Interment will be at Kingman Cemetery.
