VAN BUREN and HOBE SOUND, Fla. – Reynold “Keno” Dubay, 73, passed away Nov. 11, 2010, surrounded by all his family at Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart, Fla., after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Van Buren, to Anthelm and Emilienne (Collins) Dubay. Keno and his wife, Joan, along with their four sons built Brookside Manor, Van Buren, known as “Keno’s.” Keno and Joan owned and operated it for 25 years. In his earlier years, he was a farmer, volunteer firefighter, electrician and past member of Lions Club, and a third degree Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan (Langlais); and his four sons, Mike and his wife, Monique, of Hobe Sound, Fla., John and his wife, Sharon, of Stuart, Fla., Peter and Ellen Urgo of Hobe Sound, Fla., and Paul and his wife, Sonia, of Palm City, Fla. He leaves nine grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Adam, Cody, Amy, Ashley, Emilienne, Jolie and Sam; three sisters, Carmen Violette of Presque Isle, Martine Wade of Lynn, Mass., and Rachel Berube and her husband, Arnold, of Van Buren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Emilien; and sister, Rena Rowe. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
