JONESPORT – Elizabeth Jane Thurlow, 77, died Sunday, Nov. 21, at her residence. She was born in Addison, daughter of the late Robert G. and Nola B. (Lakeman) Wass. Elizabeth graduated from Jonesport High School. She moved to Berlin, Mass., and worked for Colonial Press Co. for many years. She married Harvey C. Thurlow, Feb. 14, 1965. She also worked for Visiting Nurse Association, Worcester, Mass., retiring in 1998. She moved with her husband to Jonesport in 1999. She was predeceased by a son, George Patterson, in 1968; and a stepdaughter, Linda Balvin, in 2009. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Harvey Thurlow of Jonesport; two sons, Scott Thurlow and fiancee, Tina Hart, of Jonesport and Wayne Patterson and his wife, Jenny, of Charleston, S.C.; one daughter, Jane Patterson of Clinton, Mass.; a stepson, Richard Thurlow and wife, Sylvia, of Lisbon Falls; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Doreen Flynn of Clinton, Mass. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until the time of service noon Saturday at Jonesport Community of Christ Church. Burial will be afterward at Greenwood Cemetery.
