DALEVILLE, Ala. – Priscilla M. Call, 74, passed away peacefully the morning of Dec. 6, 2010, at home, after struggling with an illness for more than a year. She was born March 4, 1936, in Glenburn, to Marion (Henderson) Richardson and Alexander Clark. She was raised by her stepfather, Amos Richardson and her mother. She graduated from Bangor High and worked as a certified nurse’s aide for more than 23 years around the Bangor area. Priscilla’s hobbies consisted of needlepoint, gardening and traveling with family. She always thought of Maine as home, she loved to watch the snow come down. She enjoyed the company of her pet bird, “Pokey,” who never failed to have breakfast with her. She resided in Hamptonville, N.C., with her sons for a few years then moved to live with her daughter, Julie and her husband, Bobby, in Daleville, Ala., for the remaining months of her life. She will be remembered for her great personality and wonderful sense of humor. She was a very loving and devoted mother of five children, Julianne and Robert Spaulding of Daleville, Ala., Jeffery and Patricia Call of Madria Beach, Fla., Roger and Angela Call of Hamptonville, N.C., and Douglas and Marieta Call of East Bend, N.C. She is also survived by siblings, Charles Clark of Pennsocket, N.J., and Linda Parker of Winterport; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She had a cousin who was a very devoted friend, Nancy DeYoung. She was predeceased by her twin, Patricia Wilson; sister, Margaret Zucatti; and son, Ronald Call. Extra thanks go to her sister, Linda, for calling and keeping her up date on everything; she never gave up and always called even when things looked to be at their worst, and to Bobby for going the extra mile and always providing support. We know that it meant a lot to her. She will forever be loved and remembered! Services for her will be held in late spring and will be announced at a later date.
