BANGOR – Scott A. Constant, 54, died Dec. 31, 2010, at his home. He was born Jan. 20, 1956, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the son of Joseph A. and Elva J. (Worster) Constant. Scott attended Brewer High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1973. He worked for many years at Darling’s Ford in the automotive department. Scott enjoyed his time with family and friends, especially at camp, and he liked gardening. Scott is survived by his wife, Barbara (Grant) Constant; his mother, Elva (Constant) Rancourt and his stepfather, Reginald, of Winterport; two daughters, Alicia (Constant) Smith and her husband, John, and Christa Constant, all of Bangor; two stepdaughters, Lara (Pardy) Graves and her husband, John, of Bangor and Brandi Starbird of Waterville; two stepsons, Anthony Pardy and his wife, Meghan, of Bangor and Ryan Starbird of Milford; three sisters, Karen Barron and her fiance, Richard Wilson, of Alton, Laurel Wells and her husband, Harry “Buz,” of Beddington and Robin Bishop and her husband, Lloyd, of Exeter; one brother, Paul Constant of Orono; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Constant. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Pine Grove Crematorium Reception Center, 1347 Hammond St., Bangor.
