MILLINOCKET – Harriet (Boddy) Embleton, 92, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at a Millinocket health care facility. She was born July 16, 1918, in Millinocket, daughter of William and Mary (Sutherland) Boddy.
Harriet was a lifelong resident of Millinocket and was a graduate of Stearns High School, Class of 1936. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Millinocket, where she had been active in the Ladies Guild and other church activities. When her husband, Allister, was serving in World War II, she worked with her mother in the family business, Boddy’s Dairy.
Harriet is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Allister Embleton of Millinocket; a very special niece, Elizabeth “Betty” Maple and her husband, Paul, of Ashland, Wis.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held in the springtime.
