EXETER – Ferne H. Dinsmore, 87, died Feb. 10, 2011, at a Pittsfield hospital after a long illness. She was born Oct. 23, 1923, in Princeton, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Hazel (Perkins) Jamison.
She was a graduate of Princeton High School. She was married to Darrell Dinsmore, who predeceased her in 1955, while they were living in Massachusetts. Ferne was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill in the weave room for many years and she was also employed at Robert Allen Shoe Shop, Newport, for several years. Ferne loved working in her flower gardens, cooking, doing jigsaw puzzles and visiting with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Darlene Dinsmore of Exeter and Donna and her husband, Frank Page, of Palmyra; three grandchildren, Robin Dinsmore, Jamie Page and Mandi Randlett; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Delanie; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several sisters. She will also be remembered by a longtime dear friend, Virginia Peirce of Exeter.
