SULLIVAN – Edward Jellison, 69, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 22, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Ellsworth, the son of George and Raye Blaisdell Jellison.
Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He returned to the Downeast area of Maine, where he worked in the auto parts industry for more than 45 years. He was a member of David Hooper Masonic Lodge, West Sullivan, where he served as post secretary for more than 39 years. Ed especially enjoyed taking drives in his 1985 Jeep J-20 pickup and watching baseball, especially when the New York Yankees were playing.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Lynesta; sons, Edward and his fiancee, Debbie Austin, of Sullivan and Scott and his fiancee, Michelle Joy, of Birch Harbor; daughters, Jeri Lyn White and husband, Ken, of Ellsworth and Bobbi Jo St. Germain and husband, William, of Bangor; grandchildren, Brynn, Myah, Jordan, Kalli, Brody, Matthew and Patrick; and his very special friend, Sammy. Edward was predeceased by his parents; and one sister, Nancy Johnson.
A memorial service will be held in his honor 1 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at David Hooper Masonic Lodge, 132 Bert Gray Road, Sullivan.
