DOVER-FOXCROFT – Raymond F. Homchuck, 79, passed away April 29, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born March 9, 1932, in Houlton, the son of Frederick and Olga (Garber) Homchuck.
Raymond graduated from Houlton High School and Ricker College, Houlton. He went on to graduate from Washington University, St. Louis, and from the University of Cincinnati. Raymond served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for AT&T for 31 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary June (Muller) Homchuck of Bangor; brothers, Rudy Homchuck and wife, Betty Ann, of Dover-Foxcroft, Peter Homchuck and wife, Ada, of Monticello, Paul Homchuck Marcia of Haynesville; a sister, Jeannette Delong of Monticello; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Walter Delong.
A memorial reception will be held 1-3 p.m. Thursday, May 5, at the Family Reception Center, 163 Center St., Bangor. Gifts in his memory may be made to Houlton High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 990, Houlton, ME 04730.
