GLENBURN – Mary W. Henry, 81, died Friday, May 20, 2011. She was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Fisher, Pa., the daughter of Graves and Mary Alice (Hummel) White.

Mary was a 1946 graduate of Clarion High School. She married Thomas Henry in 1950 and the couple relocated to Bangor in 1971. Mary worked as a machine operator and later as an licensed nurse assistant. She had many hobbies, including quilting, gardening and square dancing, and enjoyed her time as a hospice volunteer and troop greater, and with her special friend, Hannah.

Mary is survived by her children, Rod and his wife, Dawn, of Warren, Pa., Sandy and her husband, Ray, of Burlington, Vt., and Bill and his wife, Noela, of Bangor; grandchildren, Jill, Ron, Chris, Nicole, Camille, Celeste, Mathew and Jacob; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Jane; and brother, Charles.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor. Interment will be afterward at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio Street, Bangor.
