GREENVILLE – Sharon Bartlett passed away Aug. 18, 2011, after an 18-year battle with cancer. Sharon was born in 1943, in Port Chester, N.Y.
She moved to Greenville in the early 1970s. Sharon enjoyed writing and published a well known children’s book titled “An Adventure with Grandfather in the Maine Woods.” She also enjoyed the outdoors, and liked to play tennis and go fishing.
She is survived by son, Art O’Connor of Salt Lake City; son, Dennis O’Connor and daughter-in-law, Wendi, of Greenville Junction; son, Patrick O’Connor of Greenville Junction; grandson, Devin O’Connor; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and John Cahill; and sister-in-law, Jan O’Connor of Old Forge, N.Y. Also surviving is Ralph “Sunny” Bartlett, who was Sharon’s soul mate for many years.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 24 at Holy Family Church, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Church, 145 Pritham Ave., Greenville, ME 04441 or C.A. Dean Hospital, 364 Pritham Ave., Greenville, ME 04441.
