OLD TOWN – Joshua Oakes, 25, passed unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at his residence. He was the son of Murielle Oakes of Old Town and James Wentworth of Bangor.
He is survived by brothers and sisters, Paul and Crystal Savage and family of Rome, N.Y., Lisa Doughty and son of Holden, Laurie and Jamie Grindle Sr. and family of Bangor, Brandee Russell of Bangor, John Oakes of Old Town, Aundreya Francis and Alexandria McPherson, both of Bangor; “stepmom,” Jenny McPherson; aunts and uncles, Lawrence Oakes, Cathy and family, Lance Muehling, Marietta and Doug Call and family, Jude and Marrisa Oakes and family; as well as uncle, Ken Wentworth and family. He was loved by all and will be greatly, greatly missed.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at St. John Catholic Church, Bangor.
