GLENBURN – Elinor Trundy, 97, died Oct. 24, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Norcross, daughter of Robert and Inez (Crosby) Sawyer.

She graduated from high school in Stockton Springs. Elinor was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a person with a generous spirit who gave of her time to those in need. Elinor enjoyed walking, playing games and visiting with friends. She was a member of Glenburn Grange and Senior Citizens Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Trundy; a brother, Robert Sawyer; two sisters, M. Hildred Trundy and Mary Cross; and a great-grandson, Samuel Alexander. Surviving are four daughters, Patsy Alexander and her husband, Artie, Ginny Hannington, Sandra Fifield, and Deborah Dorr and her husband, Larry Dorr; three grandsons, three granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held noon Saturday, Nov. 5, at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn, with the Rev. Randy Washington officiating. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at
