BAILEYVILLE – Lindsay Edgar Foss, 93, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Calais Regional Hospital. Lindsay was born July 22, 1918, in Princeton, son of the late Harry and Maude (Mitchell) Foss.
He attended school in Princeton and then worked for Nason Lumber as a truck driver for many years. Lindsay began his career as a driver for Dead River Oil Co. in 1951, retiring with 36 years of service.
On Oct. 6, 1945, he married his love, Ruth Burlock, in Millinocket. Lindsay enjoyed following the weather, sitting at Bohanon’s talking with the guys, but most importantly spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Herbert Foss. Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth Foss; daughter, Linda Bohanon and her husband, Monte, of Baileyville; two grandchildren, Kelley Bohanon and her companion, Richard Turgeon, of East Waterboro, and Brent Bohanon and his fiancee, Alison Crosby, of Baileyville; and his feline companion, Bert.
