EASTBROOK – Ronald W. Yeo, 71, died Feb. 11, 2012, at Togus Veterans Administration Medical Center, Augusta. Ronald was born July 9, 1940, in Millinocket, son of Fred and Catherine (Fraser) Yeo.
Ronnie will be best remembered for his involvement in Alcoholics Anonymous for the last 34-plus years. As an AA sponsor, he met many good acquaintances who later became wonderful friends. Ronnie said that going to Hawaii with his good friend, Moe was some of the best times in his life.
Ronnie was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Hannah Albee and Mary Jean Raposa; and brother, “Shibby” Yeo. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Ginny; and four children, Robert and wife, Victoria and their children, Kira and Katelyn, of Ellsworth, James and his children, April and Saige, of Eastbrook, Virginia and her children, Scott and Sierra, of Eastbrook, Deana and partner, Craig and their children, Tyler, Jacob “Ronald Yeo” and Dylan, of Amherst. Also, Ronnie is survived by his sister, Fredericka (Yeo) Foster and husband, Steve, of Virginia; best friend and sister-in-law, Carolyn Yeo of Eastbrook; many nieces and nephews. Ronnie’s family expresses their gratitude to all of his friends at The Grand for their friendship to him and their support and assistance to his family.
A time of remembrance with refreshments and storytelling will be held 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at The Grand, Main Street, Ellsworth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with expenses, care of Ronnie’s daughter, Deana Moscato, 614 Airline Road, Amherst, ME 04605.
