BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 31-year-old Brunswick man was arrested Friday morning after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, sending her to Mid Coast Hospital with head injuries that were not life-threatening.
Lucas Elwell, 31, was arrested near Cedar Street, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said Monday.
Officers went to Davis Court just before 8 a.m. Friday after the alleged victim reported that Elwell had assaulted her about 15 minutes earlier.
Elwell had left the home by the time police arrived, but officers found him a short time later on Cedar Street, Hagan said.
The woman’s condition was not available at press time.
Elwell was held at Cumberland County Jail on $5,000 unsecured bail pending a May 8 court date.
