MACHIAS – James B. Foss passed away March 29, 2012. He was born March 20, 1938.
James was a lifelong resident of Machias, and loved the outdoors and photography. He was happiest when he combined his interests by photographing the outdoors. He was also a skilled upholsterer. James was a life member of World Wide Church of God.
He was predeceased by his father, Benjamin L. Foss and mother, Mary A. Foss; sisters, Helen Wood, Laura Holmes and Ester Richards; and brothers, Charles, Fred and Thomas Foss. James is survived by his sister, Susan Hawkins of Cutler; brother, Lester Foss of Holden; cousin, Oden Foss of Connecticut; as well as uncles, aunts and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Kennebec Cemetery with Pastor Bill Holmes, presiding.
