PRESQUE ISLE and LIMESTONE – Sidney E. Goding, 63, son of the late Clair W. Goding and Maria (Ryder) Goding Chandler, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012, with his family by his bedside at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Presque Isle.
He had a love for country music, wrestling, and playing Skip-Bo with his daughter every morning.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Goding and partner, Larry Best, of Limestone, Dori Desjardins and husband, Fabien, of Grandfalls, New Brunswick, and Christel Wasson of Dover, N.H.; and four siblings, Clarence Goding of Washburn, Nancy Haley and husband, Linwood, of Presque Isle, Henry Goding and partner, Marie, of Smokerun, Pa., and stepbrother, Keith Chandler and wife, Rhonda, of Madera, Pa. Sidney also leaves behind three grandsons, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Elwood Goding; sister, Carol Sue Goding; stepbrother, Gary Chandler; and grandson, Patrick Desjardins.
