BANGOR – Phyllis J. Nason, 84, passed away May 6, 2012, at a local hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1927, in Bath, the daughter of Frederick and Corinne (Lebel) Paul.
Phyllis enjoyed her time with the family at their camp on Schoodic Lake.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Charles Nason of Bangor; five children and their spouses, James and Martha of Old Town, Donald and Diane of Glenburn, Richard and Kimberly of Camden, Debra and Chuck Calligan of Manchester and Rhonda and Andrew Mallory of Gales Ferry, Conn.; her sister, Laurie Cammack of Bangor; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Joan Dimond; three brothers, Robert, Eugene and Matthew “Joe” Paul; and two sisters, Dorothy Morgan and Patricia Ferrence.
A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Joan DeSanctis, pastor of Old Town United Methodist Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., immediately after the service. Interment will be after the reception at 2 p.m. at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
